ALISON COURTNEY

B.Ed./B.A., candidate for MA in Counseling

Alison is completing her Master of Arts in Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Before commencing this study, Alison worked as a secondary school teacher in Sydney, Australia. Alison's desire to be trained in counseling grew during her time as a teacher, as she pastorally cared for many young people facing difficulties like anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, and family brokenness. As an intern at Harbor Christian Counseling in Cambridge, MA, Alison enjoys the opportunity to help clients move through the things that burden them most. Her contributions to this blog flow from this work, where the gospel finds specific application to the lives of her clients.
